Terms and Conditions

Version 3 · in force since 27 October 2026

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

CupTable ("the Service", "we", "us") is operated by an individual entrepreneur registered in Ukraine. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CupTable. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

2. The Service

CupTable is offered over the internet in the form of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS): an online platform for creating and managing sports tournaments — schedules, groups, brackets, results, standings — and for publishing public tournament pages that anyone with the link can view.

We may change, improve, or discontinue features of the Service at any time; changes will not remove paid functionality from a tournament for which an upgrade has already been purchased. Demo tournaments and example content are provided for illustration only.

Tournament formats. The Service offers ready-made formats and a builder for your own structure ("Compose your own"). They cover the most common ways to run a tournament, but we cannot guarantee that every structure, rule or requirement you have in mind can be set up in the Service. On the date of these Terms, all formats, including "Compose your own" and the tournament diagram, are available on the free plan: it limits the number of teams and some features, not the structure. Build and check your format before you upgrade a tournament to Pro.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us via our Contact Us page if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to create an organizer account.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service:

  • in any way that violates the laws of Ukraine or the laws of any other country applicable to you or to the content you publish;
  • to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, or that infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property and privacy rights);
  • to harass or abuse other people, including participants, referees, or our support staff;
  • to upload malicious code, probe or attack the security of the Service, scrape it, or interfere with its operation or with other users' use of it;
  • to impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • to resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own service.

We may investigate violations and involve law enforcement where appropriate.

5. Your content and participant data

  • You retain ownership of the content you upload (tournament data, team and player names, emblems/logos and other images, documents). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service, including on public tournament pages you choose to publish.
  • You are responsible for the content you publish. In particular, participants' names and other details you add to a tournament are personal data. When you publish them on a publicly accessible tournament page, you act as the controller of that data, and we process it on your behalf to operate the Service. You confirm that you have the right (and, where required by law, the consent of the persons concerned — or of their parents/guardians for minors) to publish this data. The same applies if an image you upload (image fields are intended for tournament and club emblems) shows an identifiable person.
  • Data processing on your behalf. Where we process participant data on your behalf, we do so only to operate the Service and on your instructions given through the Service's features; we keep it confidential, engage only the infrastructure providers listed in the Privacy Policy as sub-processors, assist you with participants' requests where reasonably possible, and delete the data when you delete the tournament or your account. This paragraph constitutes our data-processing agreement with you.
  • Scorekeeper links. The Service lets you create special links that open a score-entry page for your tournament (or one of its fields/pitches) without an account. Anyone who holds such a link can enter and change scores and match events within its scope. You share these links at your own risk: give them only to people you trust (referees, volunteers, helpers), do not publish them, and revoke a link as soon as it is no longer needed. Everything entered through a link you created is treated as entered by you, and you remain responsible for it under these Terms. Links expire automatically based on your tournament's dates — normally at the end of the tournament, or within 24 hours of creation if no dates are set — and you can revoke any link at any time.
  • Sponsor and partner content. If you place sponsor logos, names, or links on your tournament pages, you are solely responsible for that content: for having the right to use it, for its compliance with applicable advertising laws, and for your arrangements with the sponsors. We are not a party to any agreement between you and your sponsors.
  • We do not pre-moderate content, but we may remove content or unpublish pages that violate these Terms.

6. Payments

  • The Service has no subscriptions. Paid features are purchased as one-time payments: an upgrade for a specific tournament, or a pack of credits. "Credits" are an internal unit of the Service, bought or granted by us, that can be spent on tournament upgrades; they are not electronic money or a payment instrument. In the Service, credits are shown as "Pro tournaments": one credit upgrades one tournament to Pro. Prices are always shown in the Service before purchase. Prices are in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH); for some countries prices may be shown in another currency (e.g. EUR or USD) — the currency and amount displayed at checkout are what you are charged.
  • Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (Plata by mono / monobank). We do not store your card details.
  • A tournament upgrade is applied to the specific tournament immediately upon payment; purchased credits are added to your account balance immediately. Because the service is delivered in full immediately, payments are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
  • At most 30 Pro tournaments on the balance. You can buy credits only if, after the purchase, your balance - together with orders you have started but not yet paid - is 30 credits or less. Credits from an order you have already paid are always added.
  • Welcome gift. A new account may receive 1 free credit (one Pro tournament) when its e-mail address is verified - one time only. A free credit is not paid for, has no monetary value, and is not refundable or exchangeable for money. In every other respect it works like a purchased credit: no fixed expiry, non-transferable, deleted with the account, and counted in your balance for the 30-credit limit. We may change or stop this offer at any time; credits already granted are not affected. We may withhold the welcome gift, or remove an unused gift credit, if accounts are re-created to receive it again or the offer is otherwise abused.
  • Check first, then pay. If the format or rules you need cannot be set up in the Service (section 2), this alone is not a ground for a refund. Please build and check your format on the free plan before you pay.
  • Credits have no monetary value outside the Service, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged back for money. This also applies to unused credits: if you spend only part of a purchased pack, the remaining credits stay on your balance for future use but are not refundable.
  • If you delete your account (or we ban it under section 11), any unused credits are deleted with it and are not refunded or transferable.
  • Credits have no fixed expiry date, but they are usable only while the Service operates. If we permanently discontinue the Service (section 11), unused credits expire when the Service ends and are not compensated; where reasonably possible we will give advance notice so you can use your remaining credits before then.
  • We may change prices at any time; changes do not affect purchases already made.

7. Service limits

  • Plan limits. CupTable has a free plan and a paid plan ("Pro"). Each plan has its own limit on the number of teams in a tournament and its own set of features (for example, on Pro, a tournament logo and sponsors). On the date of these Terms the free plan allows up to 8 teams per tournament and Pro allows up to 128 teams. The current limits and features of each plan are always shown on our website ("Pricing") and in the Service before you pay; for a given tournament, the limit shown at the moment you upgrade it to Pro applies. Any tournament, on any plan, can last up to 12 months (start and end dates are required).
  • What you paid for is not reduced. A tournament upgraded to Pro keeps the team limit and the paid features it had when it was upgraded; we will not reduce them afterwards while the Service operates.
  • Technical limits. To keep the Service stable and fair for everyone, we apply technical limits that are the same on every plan — for example on how often requests can be sent, on the size and structure of a tournament (such as the number of matches), on file and image sizes and the amount of stored files, on text length, on data imports, and on the number of tournaments and support requests per account. We may change these limits and add new ones for technical, security or capacity reasons; if a change would noticeably restrict something you already use, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible. Where practical, the Service shows a limit or tells you when you reach it.
  • Fair use. Use the Service in the way that is reasonable for running sports tournaments (see also section 4). Automated or excessive use — for example bots, scripts or bulk requests that go beyond normal use — and any use that overloads the Service or harms other users is not allowed. Ordinary use, including many people opening a public tournament page during a match, is what the Service is built for. If we detect such use, we may slow down, limit or temporarily block access to the Service or to some of its features and, for serious or repeated abuse, suspend or ban the account under section 11 (without refund, as described there).

8. Availability, maintenance, and third-party infrastructure

  • We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we make no promises regarding uninterrupted availability. Malfunctions, errors, and temporary outages may occur.
  • We may perform maintenance at any time; where reasonably possible we will schedule disruptive maintenance in advance and outside peak hours.
  • The Service is hosted on and depends on third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, networks, payment and other providers). Failures or outages of such providers are outside our control, and we are not responsible for unavailability or data-transmission issues caused by them.
  • We recommend not relying on the Service as your only record: you can keep your own copies of key tournament information (e.g. printed schedules) for critical events.

9. "As is" — disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected within any particular time, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm arising from the use of or inability to use the Service;
  • our total aggregate liability for any claim related to a specific tournament is limited to the amount you paid us for that tournament (for a tournament upgraded with a credit from a pack, the price of one credit of that pack; for a tournament upgraded without payment, zero); for any other claim, to the total amounts you paid us during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing, our liability is limited to zero;
  • we are not liable for failures caused by force majeure, including war and hostilities, power or network outages, actions of authorities, or failures of third-party providers.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for intent or gross negligence).

11. Suspension and termination

  • We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or permanently ban an account that violates these Terms — including unlawful use, abusive behavior toward other users or our staff, or publishing prohibited content — with or without prior warning, depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Amounts already paid are not refunded when an account is suspended or banned for a violation of these Terms.
  • You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the account settings. Deletion of data is described in the Privacy Policy; payment records are kept in a form that no longer identifies you, as required by law.
  • We may terminate or suspend the Service as a whole; in that case we will give reasonable advance notice where possible.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and branding belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you beyond the right to use the Service. If you send us feedback, bug reports, or feature suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each version is dated and archived; the current version is always available on this page. For material changes we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the Service (or notify you by email). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Ukraine, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence provide otherwise. Before going to court, please reach out via our Contact Us page - most issues can be resolved directly.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. We may assign these Terms as part of a transfer of the Service (for example, to a company we form); your rights are unaffected.

These Terms are published in English and Ukrainian. In case of any discrepancy between the versions, the Ukrainian version prevails.
